SEO Tip
I came across a useful tip on Search Engine Optimisation from Andrew Wee’s blog. Andrew Wee writes on interesting topics such as Affiliate Marketing, Social Traffic and Blogging and has managed to gather a huge following in a short space of time.
He tip involves changing the Permanent Link Structures on your blog assuming your categories are optimized for appropriate keywords, so that the search engines will send you more targeted traffic.
I urge caution if you decide to follow his tip and read his blog post thoroughly if you decide to go ahead because some of your links in Google wouldn’t work until Google re-indexes your new links.

Hi Ade,
If you read Scott Jangro’s comments you can set up 301 Redirect Pages or adjust your .httaccess file to redirect indexed pages to your new permalink structure.
If you need to, you can visit Scott at Jangro.com

Andrew,
I found a killer plugin at http://www.deanlee.cn/wordpress/permalinks-migration-plugin/
which enables you to migrate your old permanent links to new ones.
Basically,
1. goto admin panel->options->PermalinksMigration.set the old permanlink structure of your site.
2. goto admin panel->options->Permalinks.change the new permalink structure to what you want. (personally I recommend /Êtegory%/postname%/)
3. Check your indexed posts in the search engines to make sure they now point to your permanent structure.
