Tips to growing your list on FaceBook

I have started growing my friend’s list on Facebook and I believe I now have over 100 friends so thats a good start. After listening to Brian Campbell’s 45 Min FaceBook Group Secrets at SocialMediaMarketing dot com I learnt that I have to do the following to grow my list.

  • Create own facebook group.
  • Think about the title of your facebook group so as to draw people’s attention.
  • Choose a niche ( Target Market)
  • Invite friends to join  facebook group
  • Share Information that will enable people to be successful, info that is valuable and motivational.

Thats a lot of interesting stuff for me to think about.

Use The Power Of FaceBook To Build An Online Business

A few days ago, I made a blog post about using the power of facebook to get traffic to my online businesses. Well I have joined a few groups since I joined Facebook. One group that really caught my attention is Brian Campell’s “Grow Your Facebook Group to 1,000+ Quickly!”.

My goal over the next 30 days is to start my own group and grow that list to over 1,000.

This is an interesting project and I will make daily updates over the next 30 days to let you know how far I progress to building my own group with up to 1000 members. I will be undertaking the 30 day free Social Media Marketing Training Course!

Today’s tasks include registering on the membership site and having a look at the resources available to enable me achieve the objective.

Also I will be listening to the first audio titled “Facebook Group Secrets”, a 45 minute audio shows you how to start building exposure to thousands of people on facebook.

The Joys Of Working From Home

TubeChaosIt is days like today I really enjoy working from home. You might ask why? Well, I live in the London surburbs and nearly three-quarters of the underground network has more or less come to a standstill since yesterday evening. The London Underground Tube workers have gone on strike because one of the firm’s subsidiary has gone bust and workers are now living in fear for their jobs and pensions. Can you imagine the that?

From my point of view, I feel sorry for those slave drivers who more or less live from paycheck to paycheck and now have the worry of not having a job so soon. They all have families to feed and mortgages to pay so you got to see it from where they are coming from. But then again, anyone living their faith in the hands of others is really asking for trouble in this day and age.

Whilst most other workers probably had to live early today to catch a bus or taxi to get into Central London, I was working away in my Pj’s from my home office. Now thats why I enjoy working from home. I used to commute 55 miles each way to work and on a day like this because the Underground wasn’t working, most commuters would have attempted to get to work by car living the dual carriage ways at a standstill.

I always say a little prayer every money for my new lifestyle.

Diary Of A Full Time Internet Marketer - 3

Home BuddyWelcome to my ‘Diary of a full time internet marketer’ update. I haven’t posted much this month because I have been working flat out on a project.

Anyway, I have been working at home for over a month and a half now and it has been fun but challenging at times. It has been fun because I get to plan what I need to do, work with whoever I want and choose which projects I wish to concentrate on. Besides I am my own boss so I don’t have to sulk up to anyone. And I really enjoy the fact that I don’t have to do those crazy journeys to and from work.

I do try to plan my day and week as much as I can even though I am still not disciplined enough to act on my planned days/weeks just yet.

On the other hand working from home has been challenging because, my ultimate aim is to make a living online and I am not seeing much of the $$$ yet in my account but that is understandable. I do also struggle on some aspects of the project that I have been working on which as meant I haven’t progressed as much as I would have liked.

On a positive note, I haven’t regretted one minute of pursuing a living online fulltime and I am very determined and will persist in my efforts to make it work.

I will give you an insight into my projects once I have made good progress. I hope you like the new Super Adsense Plug-in-Profit Wordpress theme.

Cheers,

Diary Of A Full Time Internet Marketer - 1

Home BuddyMy first week as a full time internet marketer went like a breeze. Settling in to work in my home office on Monday morning made me feel kind of strange as I was always used to doing the routine 110 miles journey to my contract job in Kent. Anyway, it was fun working from home and I managed to get two mini projects up and running. They are both promoting resell right products that I bought the rights to. I will be promoting both sites this week so that would be interesting.

I also communicated by Skype to an online friend in the States and we have another session scheduled later this week. We all need mentors in this business and I am happy to have my online friend as a mentor. I must admit though that I got a little distracted by visiting forums, checking emails etc.

I will be concentrating fully on work this week and must be disciplined enough not to get sidetracked.

My initial goal for my online business is to split my time between promoting (affiliate programs, resell right products) and working on my projects. I am looking at 70/30 split at this point in time.

Watch out for another update real soon.

Taking The Plunge : From 9-5 to Full Time Internet Marketer

Home BuddyI finally became a full time Internet Marketer after my last contract job ended yesterday. My contract job involved customizing a large Oracle based database application that had been implemented by the local council. I truly enjoyed the role I was hired to do but I haven’t been a happy bunny in the past year. I had continuosly asked myself if this is what I really wanted to do for the rest of my career. And to be honest the answer had always been straight and capital ‘NO’.

Quite frankly, I had like to do a lot of travelling, spend more quality time with my young family, play more golf and just relax generally and enjoy life a lot more. Unfortunately, the contract job didn’t allow me any of these luxuries. Besides I have had to endure commuting to work for an average 110miles (171km) everyday which really did my head in sometimes. Don’t get me wrong, the money was good but in the end I just didn’t feel happy inside and I truly knew I had to find something else to do.

I had always embraced the magic of the internet. I took up a freelance role as a blogger for a website that covered the World Cup last summer. I truly enjoyed it and decided to set up OnlineGist when that role ended. OnlineGist continues to grow and I am really happy about that. Besides, I have made some money promoting affiliate programs which I have truly enjoyed. And also dabbled in buying and selling domains for quick profits. The opportunities that the internet provide is endless to say the least.

Anyway I plan to spilt my online time at home between promoting affiliate products and developing my own informational products (websites, ebooks, audio, video etc). I will also be invovled in launching a property portal GetMoved here in the UK.

I am quite aware that working from home will be a big challenge in itself but I am truly looking forward to challenge to be honest. I understand the fact that my online income will be erratic to say the least. And I have also come to believe that nothing is really guaranteed online. Also, I will have to work very awkward hours to get the online business up and running. But like anything else, ‘Nothing Ventured Nothing Gained’, so I don’t want to look back 5-10 years down the line and say to myself, I wish I had done that.

I will be keeping a diary of what I actually get up to online so watch this space.

Cheers!!!
