Autoresponders - An Internet Marketer’s Best Friend

As an internet marketer, I never really appreciated the benefits of using an autoresponder until I installed one on my sites. Before, I just set up sites and left them like that until a fellow online friend pointed out to me that I am leaving a lot of money on the table by not capturing the details of people that visit my sites.

Well just for the record, autoresponders are basically programs that enable you to automatically respond to your emails without you having to physically do it yourself. However, there are a good number of reasons why you need an autoresponder in your online business apart from just answering emails.

For example, autoresponders can be used as a tool to send information about your products, services, updates, price lists to your subscribers. Or alternatively, maybe you just want to offer your site visitors access to your recent articles or newletter etc. An autoresponder will enable you to do this. In addition, you can build up a target list of subscribers that are interested in your products or services by building a special relationship using autoresponders.

Autoresponder programs are becoming very sophisticated nowadays and they vary from software that run with your email program to complex scripts that run on your servers. These scripts could use a web page form or simply operate with your email account. Scripts such as this are generally programmed to send out a standard message whenever an email is received.

Other autoresponders can do a lot more than sending out standard messages. I currently use autoresponders that enable me to send out an unlimited number of follow-up messages at predetermined times over a seven day period.

Autoresponders also have the added advantage of enabling you to personalize your messages by attaching your signature. Signatures are more or less like your business card online. In most cases, you can include your name, business name, web site details and all your contact numbers and addresses in your signature address. It is always a good idea to attach you signature address to every autoresponder email sent out as this remindes your subscribers of your business identity. In all honesty, the more your subscribers look at you signature, the more likely your online business will spring to mind when you particular product or service is required.

There are a number of good autoresponders out there that you can use. Some are free and others you have to pay for. I personally stay well clear of free autoresponders. Two good ones I strongly recommend and use myself are Aweber and GetResponse.

Summing up, Autoresponders are a powerful and effective marketing tool to use in your online business. They enable you to collect details of hundreds potential customers. Autoresponders will enable you to build relationships with your potential customers who are a invaluable asset to your online business and also enable you to automate a large part of your internet marketing campaign.

I had a lot of fun listening in to the World Internet Mega Summit via streaming video over the internet last weekend. I enjoyed most of the seminars although I missed out on a couple due to the time differences between the UK where I am based and Singapore. Anyway, Armaud Morin’s presentation caught my attention all because he showcased how you can get a product to market very quicky using EzineArticles.com.

A 5 step guide to writing your ebook on a topic you are interested is highlighted below:-

1. Highlight 50-70 articles in EzineArticles.com for a topic your are interested in promoting.
2. Copy the articles into a Word document
3. Send an email to the each of the authors asking for authorization to use their articles in your new book. You would need to tell them that all their details will remain intact for free advertising.
4. Depending on your response, put together your ebook adding a table of contents, introduction and summary and convert you document into a pdf file and you have an ebook.
5. Write Sales Copy for your new ebook and you are ready to market it.

Now that is an interesting way to write an ebook.

Following up from my Quick Profits from Resell Rights post a couple of days ago, you may be wondering what exactly are resell rights products? I have put together an article that explains exactly what resell right products are.

What Are Resell Rights Products?

Resell right products are products and services that have been developed by someone else but enables you to put your own brand on them and make 100% profit when you market them. You can offer these products in addition to you own products.

There are lots of programmers and authors that like producing products but not marketing them. So as an internet marketer, you can take the product, put some of your touch on it and market it under your own brand. You can even set these products up as part of an affiliate program.

There are three type of resell right products. Resell Rights, Private Label Rights and Software Source Code.

Resell Rights

1) Basic Resell Rights - You can sell the product for any price you want and keep 100% of the profits. However, you can’t pass on the rights to your customers to resell the product. And you can’t change the product either.

2) Master Resell Rights - You can sell the product or the rights to sell the products for any price you choose and keep 100% of the profits. However, whoever you sell the rights to have to right to sell on the master resell rights to the product. Again you can’t change the base product.

3) Rebranding Resell Rights- You can take a resell rights product and change certain links to your own affiliate links within the product using special software.

Private Label Rights

These rights enable others to sell you the rights to a ‘rough draft’, and then you put your own and market the product as your own. In most cases, the rough draft is more or less completed and you just need to edit the ebook or software, add your own title and then you have a product to market.

Software Source Code

Software source code can be interpreted as private label rights to software. You have take the software you have private label rights to and have a programmer customise it by adding new features, graphics and your unique brand name.

I have identified 5 reasons why people offer private label and resale rights to products.

1) There is a possibility that the original product hasn’t been selling that well. The is a way for the original product developer to generate new revenue stream.

2) They may have created the product in order to pass on their links so as to generate a lot of back end sales.

3) They may have created the product with the aim of selling the rights since that generally generates money fast.

4) The enjoy the product development cycle and just like creating products but not selling them.

5) And lastly, they have created the product specifically so that people can opt into their list.

Finally, you should note that in order to make the most of resell right products, you have to make sure you offer a very unique product. There is a possibility that other marketers might have the same resell right products so you want to offer something more than what your competitors are offering to make the most of the resell right products. And also, you want to check that the product is not already sold on Ebay cheaply, because that might damage the value of the resell right product.

The internet has opened business opportunities for the ordinary person that were not possible just fifteen short years ago. Anyone with a computer and an internet connection can do business online. Perhaps you’d like to make a little extra money, just have some fun writing a blog, get down and serious on selling toys for kids or make your hobby into a business. You can do it! If you decide to open your own web shop, consider the advantages of affiliate business.

You’ve probably heard the phrase tossed around, but perhaps don’t really understand what this means. Affiliate business is a passive income source for you. This means you receive income without doing anything more than advertising other website’s products on your site.

Affiliate business is a win-win for both parties, because it costs nothing but the space on your page. Let’s say you’re selling kids’ toys. You can use the affiliate business concept to increase your income and make your site more valuable as a resource for your visitors. With a good layout, you may even improve the appearance of your site. You can hire a graphic designer, or do the work yourself if you have the necessary skills.

There’s no question about it, affiliate business can keep you in the black, especially when you’re first starting out in your web business.

You should try to obtaining reciprocal links whenever possible. A reciprocal link on related kid’s clothing site will generate passive income for you and your affiliates. You’ll obviously have a hard time getting Amazon to offer a reciprocal link, but the children’s software vendor is in business just like you and will welcome the passive income an affiliate business arrangement with you will generate.

Whether you’re just starting your site or have already established a presence on the net, look into the affiliate business concept and make it happen. You’ll make your pocketbook happy!
