The Top 10 problems Online entrepreneurs face in their quest for success online are as follows:

1) Not enough website traffic
2) Information overload
3) Building and maintaining a subscriber list
4) Lack of sufficient funds
5) Finishing a project they started
6) Finding the right successful marketer whose advice to follow.
7) Identifying a niche product
Finding the right target keywords
9) Overall lack of focus
10) Lack of correspondence between the intended and end result.

Now you wouldn’t be suprised that top internet marketers have solutions in the form of a product that deals with each separate problem. So that should give you and I an incentive to seek more solutions to the problems above if you are in the internet marketing niche.

I enjoyed listening to the teleseminar radio show hosted by Heather Vale last night. Her guest on the program was Internet Marketing expert Willie Crawford who joined us from the Singapore where he was a guest speaker at the World Internet Summit. 1) Newbies to niche marketing should look for problems that people encounter in their daily lives and look to provide solutions. People encounter problems in their personal development, finances, relationships, health etc.
2) Look at the history of similar niche sites using wayback machine. This will give you an idea of why your competitors are ranked well.
3) Use blogs, press releases to market you niche sites.
4) Identify community interests and build web community using membership sites,forums etc
5) And much more…

I know we all have different views as to what blogging platform to use when publishing blogs. The key question is “Do you go for Google’s Blogger or the Open Source Wordpress blogging platform?”. I like to know your views on this question.

Personally, I started off using Blogger but found it very restrictive as to what you can publish on your blog. Also I have heared stories of bloggers having their blogs short down without prior notice. This wouldn’t happen with Wordpress since you have the opportunity to host your own blog and you can more or less publish what you like. Anyway, I believe it is a matter of choice to whatever platform you decide to use. Below is a very useful article written by the WordPress Adsense System creator Gobala Krishnan. Gobala Krishina the creator of Wordpress Adsense System has just put together an article outlining the differences between bloggers and internet marketers. I found the article interesting since I run a home based internet marketing business and use blogs as a effective marketing tool. Well, I am sure a lot of people have had a chance digest Mike Filsaime “The Death of Internet Marketing” report. Well if you haven’t then you can get a copy right here. Anyway, after reading the gist of the report, I believe that report is a wake up call to all of us in the Internet Marketing industry. You can get carried away with all the hype in the Internet Marketing Niche.

Product launches have been flying out from everywhere and of course, internet marketers feel their Internet Marketing buddies owe them a favour to help promote these products which is why people like me get emails from gurus saying “Don’t buy xxx product until you read this”.

Well I am not suprised that lists are not converting as they use to. When you have more than one person trying to sell you the same product through different lists you surely know something is not right.

Anyway, for me, the highlight of Mike’s report is where he emphasised that people in this industry need to

-Define a vision for themselves - Define goals and possibilities
-Identify and Align - Get a mentor who is successful online in whatever you are trying to do online.
-Pick your position - Stick to one thing online. Adsense, Ebay, Adwords, Niche Markets,Affiliate Marketing, Building Content and Adsense Site. Mind you
you can bring other positions to maximize your position.
-Be great at one thing(Don’t be a Jack of All Trades and Master of none)
-And Lastly ‘Sail To Hawaii’.

That just nails it on the head. And I am definitely putting that into action if I want to survive in this very unpredictable industry.
